| The IAM Driving Assessment provides an opportunity for current IAM members to undertake a beneficial learning experience with an IAM Examiner, in order to maintain or improve their driving standards. It is designed to positively
support the IAM's general road safety purpose. The Driving Assessment will comprise:- - a short briefing
- a period of driving by the member - assessed by the Examiner,
- a further period of driving by the member - with open discussion about it.
- a full debrief
The IAM Driving Assessment is not a test; members cannot pass or fail it. Minor errors or omissions are treated as part of the learning experience and at the end of
the Assessment, the Examiner will give any advice and/or make appropriate recommendations for improvement Members who undertake and complete the an IAM Driving Assessment will receive an IAM Certificate certifying that the Assessment was undertaken, the category (car, motorcycle, or commercial) and the date on which the assessment was undertaken. The Assessment will have no effect on the driver's IAM membership status. |
