Advanced Driver Training
The North East London and Essex (NELE) Group of Advanced Motorists was established 16th October 1957. It is affiliated to the Institute of Advance Motorists (IAM) RoadSmart and promotes the knowledge and skills of advanced safe driving. The group members participate in driving days, talks on related road safety and driving best practice and other sociable activities.
During the observed runs we cover town, urban, motorway, A and B road driving whilst getting to see some of the beautiful Essex countryside.
The group invites drivers of any age from 17 years upwards to become an associate member, with a view to taking the IAM Roadsmart advanced driving test upon which an associate member becomes full member of the group and of IAM RoadSmart. This then marks the beginning of your journey into safe, confident and considerate driving.
